Way far behind

Yes, it is almost June and I'm still posting from our february trip to Florida.  I don't know where the time has gone.  We have been so busy with basketball, baseball, Chris working and traveling, and my working as well.  Life has been very busy.

Love looking at this everyday when I know what's at my house( several feet of snow), this is just what we needed to make it through the winter.

Me and my little boy.  Loves some cuttle time with mommy.

Love trying to get a family picture.  It's always so fun to get everyone to look at the right spot and to all smile.

Love this picture of Chris and his kids enjoying some time together on the beach.

We even had a special visitor from PopPop.  It had been so long since the kids had seen him and they loved getting some time with their grandfather.
 Early morning with PopPop

 Happy Twins!

Pool water was a little too cold for mommy, so thank goodness daddy is a good sport and gets into the pool with  them.

 Could sit here forever

Winter Break

In Connecticut, Julian not only gets a week on for spring break, but we also get a winter break here in February.  People here like to go snow skiing and usually go more north.  Well, us southerners, after a VERY long and VERY cold winter go way south.  Chris had a meeting in Miami, and I decided to take the kids and meet him down for a nice getaway.  The kids were thrilled to get to go the beach, and they always like a trip.  We believe, just like getting kids used to behaving at restaurants, you also have to take them on planes for the experience.  They love planes, they think it's a fun ride and are usually very good.  And I was so tired of being cold, I didn't mind at all traveling with the 3 of them by myself. We got flights of of Newark (so we could go direct), straight to Miami, and chris met us there to pick us up.  We enjoyed several days in South beach Miami.  The weather wasn't just perfect, but a much improved from what we were used to, so we soaked up every minute.

A quick walk on South beach, we still need a light jacket but there is no snow around which is very nice.

The plane ride was great.  Every person had there own tv on the seat in front of them, and it kept us very entertained for the trip down south.

Our first morning in Florida, having breakfast outside.  I think I'm going to need this February break for my sanity from now on.

Our first day, we asked Julian what he wanted to do and of course, the Miami Zoo is what he decided to do.  It was a wonderful day to be outside walking around.  The kids loved being able to just be outside again.  It was so nice just to let them get some sunshine and exercise.  I used to take Julian to the zoo several times a week when we lived in South Carolina and I really miss that activity with him.  We had a wonderful day!
