After Christmas, Julian and I got to get away together to visit our family in Georgia that we haven't seen in a long time. It was also nice to get some one on one time with my big boy. With Chris traveling so much and my time being divided between by 3 babies, a little special time with 1 is always a treat. And that also lets Chris get some special time with the twins without having to share. (Although Lilly told me that next time, she and Alex get to go to Georgia with me). Julian and I had a very quick weekend trip planned, and we were going to make the most of our time with everyone. We wish we could visit more, but is getting hard with us living so far away. I got to meet my nephew, Carter, for the first time, and get to play with Kinsley. ( I don't want her to think we only exist through the computer, although it is really a great way to keep in touch so the kids are familiar with their family).
Julian and I spent the weekend at Kelly and david's and loved them having us. We spent the next day with all the Stanford's and had a wonderful day. We then even fit in breakfast with my grandmother before having lunch with the stanford's and then back to the Airport. It was jam packed but wonderful.
So far, the oldest and youngest grandchild in the stanford family. Julian loves having his cousins.
Julian and Kinsley
Stacy and I with Kinsley and Carter. Love having a neice and nephew!!
Me and Carter. He is an adorable baby!
When we returned from Atlanta, and we thawed out a little from the snow, it was time for Julian's christmas present to be installed. We had some help from my dad, brother, and blake's friend to help Chris with this massively heavy basketball goal. It was a little more difficult than Chris had anticipated but luckily we live near family that helped us out.
Time to test out the finished product.
We get to go to dinners with dee dee and PaPa. It's nice to get to see them some at night even when they are working so much. The kids love seeing them all the time.
Another new activity we have started this year is Julian playing basketball. It is fun to see him learn something new. We also love when he asks to do something and this was his idea. He is really enjoying it, and hopefully we don't miss too many days because of weather.
Love this picture of Alex and his "best friend" as he says, Charley. He loves this dog and I know Charley wishes he would have a little less loving.
While we are at Dee Dee's and papa's house we get to enjoy the hot tub. It does feel great on these cold Connecticut nights
