Seabrook vacation- Part I

Since we were down in South Carolina for Jess's wedding, we decided to make it our vacation for the summer and to stay for 2 weeks.  We had a great time with our family and friends.  The kids had so much fun everyday.  We were always doing an activity.  The kids are definitely beach-water babies.  They love to swim in the pool, play int he sand at the beach, jump the waves, take long strolls after dinner, pet the horses, watch fireworks.  There was always something fun to do to keep my 3 little active children busy and tired.
Alex, Kinsley, and Lilly enjoying their first time to the pool together, and May May trying to keep up with all 3 little ones.  A very challenging task for these 3 active ones.  No sitting still in the Stanford kids.
Lilly Alex and Julian.  The goggles were a big hit even though they were way too big for the twins.

The day can't get much better than this.  Eating lunch together with the beach as our back drop.  The kids all loved a being together and act like they see each other all the time.  Wish they could more.
 Best girl pals

Uncle Blake would bring the boat around to the beach.  Julian loved getting a ride with him.  No fear of boats or sea sickness allowed on the Colquitt side.

Chris and the twins getting a late ride after the dinner reception Friday night.

Beach day with family.  David playing in the sand with the twins.  Mary, Chris, Kelly and Anne at the beach.
The girls:  Mary, Jenn, Kelly and Anne

Patrick bonding with his new nephew.

So funny to watch Lilly play at the beach for this impromptu beach day.  Note no bathing suit.  We weren't planning on getting wet, just a stroll on the beach with Charley.  Lilly would sit in the sand and poor the wet sand all over her like a mud bath.  I would have never done this as a child.  I hated getting dirty.

Jess and Alex.   (Alex not cooperating today on posing for a picture)
Alex and Lilly running in the ocean.

Charley made the trip to the wedding.  Julian and the twins are totally in love.
Stacy, Kelly, myself with the 3 little ones in the pool.  It is always great getting to spend time together. We always have so much fun with each other.  (note: neither of my twins wanted me to hold them as long as Stacy and kelly were around.  Thank goodness Kinsley liked me and let me hold her.)

Jess's wedding

We've had so much going on over the past couple of weeks.  I have so many pictures that I may have to break these up into events.
The first is that we went to Seabrook Island to help celebrate Jess's wedding to patrick.  I was so happy that this day was here and Jess was starting to get everything she has always wanted and deserved.  It was a wonderful wedding weekend, full of fun activities, and plenty of family around to help us celebrate.  Jess couldn't have looked more beautiful or happy.  It was a great thing to see.  Jess and I have always done everything together and I consider Jess my best friend.  A day is usually not complete until we have talked at least 3 times, or she face times the kids daily.  So, needless to say, standing beside her while she got married was great.  I wish she and Patrick many years of happiness (and kids soon I hope!!!:)  I can't wait to spoil her kids just like she's done with mine.

Alex getting dressed in his "suit like daddy".  He felt so special getting all dressed up like the big boys.  With all my planning and getting ready for the trip and packing my clothes and all 3 kids, I did leave behind 1 key ingredient to this outfit:  His dressy black shoes.  They were not in the bag when I went to get them to leave for the wedding.  So, Alex wore his black Keen sandals, which looked perfect for this beach side wedding.  I guess if I left anything, I picked the right thing to leave.
Pre-wedding shots:  Jess looked so pretty with the dress she knew was right, and that's why she only tried on 3.  (which she only did to make mom and I happy)

Getting some quick pictures in between takes.  Chris and I, and Jess and I.

Blake, Jess and I after the wedding.  Such a perfect back drop on a beautiful day
 Jess and Patrick's first dance.
Julian and the flower girl, sienna. (Patrick's niece)

Alex and Lilly getting down and dancing.  They couldn't wait to get out onto the dance floor and dance like we do at home.

Alex taking a quick break with PopPop.
My friend Mandy's little girl, Madison, with my 3 kids on the dance floor.

May May and PopPop with all the grandkids on the Stanford side.  Can't believe they are actually all looking at the camera.

Girl cousins Kinsley and Lilly.  Getting ready together before the wedding and having so much fun together.
 Chris, Tom and Philip
The bridesmaids after the wedding and getting escorted to the reception.
I can't wait to see more pictures of the big day and I'm sure I will add more when people send them to me.  It was so much fun.  Love you Jess.
